She was brought up in an abusive and violent household. Upon publicly opening up in 2023, about her childhood struggles with domestic violence, Snehal stated that she was 9 years old when she witness brutality in her home for the first time.The violence in her home was so intense that Snehal, her sister, and her mother would often times sleep in the car with no food. However, Snehal’s intervention in her parent’s fight forced her mother to step in and move out of the house with both her daughters. After this, they went on to reside in a chawl (Cheap Apartment) where they at times didn’t even have money to buy any food and in order to fill their stomachs, she and her family would often eat panipuri with a lot of spice in it which would encourage them to drink a lot of water to keep Rai and her family feeling full through the night.The intense violence led to Snehal developing mental issues and insomnia growing up.At the age of 16, Snehal had been working two jobs, as a receptionist at a salon during the day and at a call center at night.During her opening up about her family’s problems, Snehal also mentioned that her father has remarried and she has since forgiven him.
